Syllabyte Schools ("Syllabyte," "we," "us," or "our") provides educational software and learning tools for schools, educators, students, and authorized school administrators. This Privacy Policy explains what information Syllabyte Schools may collect, how that information is used, how educational organizations may access and manage information, and the choices available to users.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how Syllabyte Schools is used, we may collect the following categories of information.
Account Information
When a user creates or accesses an account, we may collect:

- User role, such as Student, Teacher, or School Administrator
Passwords and authentication credentials are handled through our authentication systems and service providers and are not displayed to other users.

Users should not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information through AI Tutor. Schools may disable AI Tutor access through available school controls.
Device and Technical Information

2. How We Use Information
We use information collected through Syllabyte Schools to:
- Provide educational content and learning tools

- Record homework, exam, and weakness exam results
- Provide teachers with information about students assigned to their classrooms
- Provide school administrators with authorized school-level information

We do not use student information for targeted advertising.
3. School and Teacher Access
Student information may be available to authorized educational personnel.
- Teachers may access information only for students assigned to classrooms they are authorized to manage.
- School Administrators may access information associated with their own educational organization.
- Syllabyte Schools uses role-based access controls intended to prevent users from accessing information belonging to unauthorized students, classrooms, or schools.
4. School Licensing
Syllabyte Schools is provided to participating educational organizations through institutional licenses. A school license may determine:
- Number of authorized student accounts
- Available educational modules
- AI Tutor availability
- License start and expiration dates
- School access status
School Administrators may manage authorized students, teachers, and classrooms but may not independently increase contractual student-seat limits or alter license terms controlled by Syllabyte.
5. Children and Student Privacy
Syllabyte Schools is designed for educational use and may be used by children and students under the supervision or authorization of participating educational organizations.
- Schools are responsible for obtaining any permissions or consents required for their students to use Syllabyte Schools.
- We seek to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide educational functionality.
- We do not knowingly use student personal information for targeted advertising or sell student personal information.
- Parents, guardians, schools, or authorized users may contact us regarding access, correction, or deletion of student information where applicable.
6. Google Sign-In
Users may have the option to sign in using Google. When Google Sign-In is used, Syllabyte Schools may receive basic account information such as:
- Name
- Email address
- Google account identifier
This information is used to authenticate the user and connect the user to their Syllabyte Schools account. Syllabyte Schools does not receive the user's Google password.
7. Service Providers
We may use third-party service providers to operate parts of Syllabyte Schools, including services related to:
- Application hosting
- Authentication
- Cloud infrastructure
- Database services
- AI functionality
- Email or communications
- Security and system monitoring
These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services to Syllabyte Schools and subject to their applicable contractual and privacy obligations.

Syllabyte does not sell student personal information. Syllabyte Schools does not use student personal information for behavioral or targeted advertising.

Users may initiate account deletion through available account settings where supported. Schools may also request deletion of school-related data. Deletion requests may require verification before processing. Depending on the circumstances, deletion may include:

Certain limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, legal obligations, fraud prevention, or legitimate recordkeeping.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No online system can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect Syllabyte Schools and its users.
12. Educational Records and Applicable Law
Syllabyte Schools is designed to support responsible handling of educational information.
- Educational organizations remain responsible for determining how applicable laws, regulations, school policies, and consent requirements apply to their use of Syllabyte Schools.
